Training for University Staff

Are your staff exposed to safeguarding issues with young people?

And are you aware of the potential consequences for your organisation?

Today’s students come from all backgrounds and cultures.  Many require additional support and can be extremely vulnerable. Universities & colleges find themselves exposed when staff are not fully equipped with sufficient knowledge to help those most vulnerable.  In an increasingly litigious society it always pays to have the right information to hand…

Young people up to the age of 21 can remain looked after by a local authority. This means your students may still be the subject of education plans through the local authority.

So it’s essential to protect your team and your organisation by having the right information to help you, your staff and your establishment when working with these vulnerable young people.

Kate Young training introduces legislation and guidance on these issues. Safeguarding training is delivered by a qualified solicitor who can also explain the relevant legal processes and procedures. Our courses compliment and build upon basic safeguarding training.
